Yоur pаtient hаs entered the clinic with pаin. Yоu inquire pain scale, type оf pain, specific location of pain and explain their treatment for the day and how it is intended to help decrease pain. The IFC is set to appropriate parameters and you have prepared the moist hot pack with 8 layers. You assist the patient onto the plinth and place towels under their ankles for joint support and position for comfort. After careful visual and palpation of the skin you apply the modality, You leave the call bell and monitor your patient for any skin irritation or burning. You inquire about strength of IFC and readjust the intensity after the patient states they can't feel it anymore staying well within your parameters. Once modality is completed, you recheck the skin and assist the patient to an upright position allowing them to sit on the edge of bed (EOB) in case they experience any dizziness. You again inquire about pain scale and if improvements are made all while assessing patient's transitional movements to assess if improved. You are practicing
