Kyle, 52, wаs diаgnоsed with Schizоphreniа (F20.9) with psychоtic symptoms in his early adulthood. When he was first medicated, he was administered Haldol and a large dose of Thorazine. In more recent years, Kyle has been taking Risperdal 2 mg. b.i.d., Zyprexa 10 mg. before bedtime, Haldol 3 mg. b.i.d., and 100 mg. of Trazadone for sleep. Kyle has developed a variety of symptoms that are causing him and his family distress. He has involuntary hyperkinesis, which include a number of facial and oral movements, frowning, grimacing, smacking his lips, clenching his teeth, distracting lateral jaw movements, rolling & protruding (fly-catchers tongue), and numerous spastic facial movements. Kyle also has involuntary trunk and limb movements. His trunk twists and he has involuntary pelvic thrusting. He squirms; moves his neck peculiarly, and has serpentine shoulder movements. When seated, Kyle engages in involuntary rocking and twisting movements. What extrapyramidal condition does this describe?
