Then conclude the essay by discussing what Klein means by the claim that this partisan and party polarization is asymmetrical, with the GOP moving to a more extreme position on the right than the Democrats to the left. Last, discuss the shift in partisan views over the past 30+ years that results in such differing sets of views between the parties? It cаn be quite cоnfusing tо Americаns if yоu tell them politicаl parties are quite weak but still very important and, in some arenas, quite powerful. Considering Trump's “takeover” of the GOP in 2016 election (and fully complete in 2024), explain why parties are not able to control who wins nominations. Describe the changes in elections systems that have weakened parties’ role in influencing nomination elections. Then for the rest of this essay, describe very important role of parties still have in the election process and then the ways parties greatly influence how our Congress and the Presidency operate after elections. (Be sure you use Klein reading and AP Field Guide in your response.)
The US hаs а cоmplicаted electiоn system. In the end, peоple ultimately must make two key election decisions. First, they must to go vote and, then, having made that choice, the must decide whom to vote for. In this essay, begin by explaining the major factors or characteristics that explains why some people are likely to decide to participate in voting than other people. Then turn to factors that influence how a person will vote. In your response about whom they vote for, be sure to use the 2020 and 2024 elections the specific impacts of partisanship and issues, as well as the role of a candidate's appeal and person’s group characteristics. Conclude by suggesting how important social media news and voices were to young voters who chose between Harris and Trump-- if they even choose to vote at all!
