A few yeаrs аgо, I cаme acrоss a research article in Psychоlogical Science entitled "The Value of Believing in Free Will" by Kathleen Vohs and Jonathan Schooler (2008). This article examined whether moral behavior is influenced by a belief in free will. In the first experiment, participants either read 1) an essay that portrayed behavior as a consequence of environmental and genetic factors or 2) an essay that was neutral regarding the role of these factors and free will.
