The difference between warrants and normal puts or calls is that the corporation creates new shares of stock when the warrants are exercised rather than purchasing and delivering existing shares. This has a dilution effect on the value of the stocks received by the investors. So, a warrant is only worth a fraction of a otherwise identical option:
