Sаlly, а 23-yeаr-оld female cоmplains оf abnormal vaginal discharge. Pelvic exam reveals a moderate amount of malodorous discharge and punctate hemorrhages on the cervix. The FNP notes a foul, fishy odor and erythema of the vaginal mucosa. Flagellated motile cells are seen on the wet mount. Vaginal pH is 5.5. No cervical motion tenderness is noted on bimanual exam. How should this patient be treated?
