Stаtus-Pоst Right Humerаl Frаcture Case StudyPatient-74-year-оld female with frоzen right shoulder following a fall that resulted in a right humeral fracture. Patient was immobilized for 8 weeks in a sling. Physician has cleared patient to begin AROM. Occupational Therapy Evaluation indicates: AROM of Right shoulder flexion 0-25 degrees, ABduction 0-20 degrees, and External Rotation 0 degrees. Patient reports 5/10 pain in all directions of right shoulder motion. It is documented that patient has reported difficulty with upper body dressing thus limiting her independence. The OTR has established the following Long-Term Goal: LTG 1 X 8 weeks: Patient will regain functional use of her right UE by increasing shoulder AROM flexion 0-75, ABD 0-70, and ER 0-35 degrees to demonstrate UB dressing with independence and no reports of pain during the activity.
