Why is leаrning such hаrd wоrk? Well, becаuse Sоciо-cognitive learning theory says that it is! Learning is hard work, therefore students need to be motivated to put in the hard work. This motivation can in intrinsic, the student is just intrinsically interested in the topic (think playing video games), or it can be extrinsic, there is a motivation outside of the course that pushes students to put in the hard work to do well (e.g., the need to find a job!) And so if this seems like hard work, well, it is, and we very much appreciate the work that most of you are putting into this course, it doesn't go unnoticed, thank you!
