The free online platform offers peer support and self-support options. Peer support allows users to connect with someone that has experienced similar mild mental health difficulties. The self-support option is a hub of resources created with the aim to bring scientific knowledge on mental health problems to the public. Mind Support is free to all users and relies on volunteer work and donations. This is how the program is described in their website: Aim Mind Support aims to take a preventative approach to the mental health crisis by supporting people with mild mental health difficulties and offering them evidence-based tools to build resilience. This will improve your mental health and offer you a toolbox of coping mechanisms. We also aim to reduce mental health stigma by normalising conversations regarding mild mental health difficulties. The self-support resources aim to educate the lay public regarding scientific knowledge on mental health problems.
