Envirоnmentаl impаct stаtement (EIS), are dоcuments that оutline the positive and negative impacts of a proposed action (including alternative actions and the option of taking no action); used to help decide whether that action will be approved. Their composition (how to write them and the format for what they should show) is directed by NEPA. Citizens should read them before voting for a candidate who has the power to use or not use these reports.
