D’Andre is an OIF veteran who suffers from PTSD. In Iraq his platoon was under attack and hand-to-hand combat ensued. He came face to face with an Iraqi soldier with a gun in his hand poised to shoot D’Andre. The two soldiers looked each other in the eye and in that split-second D’Andre knew he would die. The Iraqi soldier pulled the trigger and the gun clicked. It had jammed. D’Andre grabbed his own gun and killed his enemy.
