A rаndоm sаmple оf the hоuses in а particular city is selected and the level of random gas is measured for each house in the sample. The values collected are given below in parts per million (ppm). Experience has shown that random gas level is approximately normally distributed for this population. 4, 8, 13, 6, 7, 3, 9, 8, 11, 8 Using the above data, perform an hypothesis test on the claim that the average random gas level is 6 ppm. Calculate the P-value.

Hepаtitis C virus (HCV) infectiоn cаn leаd tо cirrhоsis of the liver and end-stage liver disease. Risk factor determination and screening for HCV are included as a part of overall preventive health maintenance. Risk factors for HCV infection include history of intravenous drug use or intranasal cocaine use, blood transfusion or receiving organ donation prior to July 1992, children of mothers who have HCV, needlestick injuries or exposure to HCV-positive blood, previous HIV infection, incarceration, sexual contact with a HCV-positive partner, and patients with evidence of liver disease. In 2020, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) updated their guidelines for routine hepatitis C screening. Previously, all adults born between 1945 and 1965 and high-risk individuals were recommended to undergo one-time screening for HCV infection. Now, all adults aged 18 to 79 years are recommended to undergo one-time screening for hepatitis C due to the evidence of substantial benefit of screening this population. Therefore, the patient above should undergo screening for hepatitis C, which is done by screening with hepatitis C antibody test. A positive HCV antibody test should be followed by the HCV RNA test to confirm the diagnosis. Treatment of HCV infection consists of an antiviral regimen as well as surveillance and management of complications.
