Niа Liоn is а vice president in а federal cоntract review оffice located in northern Virginia. She has final approval and authorization of reconstruction bids in southern Ukraine. Lion has agreed to accept a bribe of $250,000 to make certain that Bonkers Construction receives the contract for building a new community center and apartment housing in the region. This contract is worth several million dollars.  In anticipation of the bribe, Lion has set up a new company, Money Marketing, LLC, a shell company with a company bank account. She is the sole owner of the company, which is registered in an island nation. She owns shares in Your Marketing LLC, a small marketing company registered in Virginia (United States). She has operated the marking company with the help of a relative over the past few years. Lion checked the operating agreement for Your Marketing so closely look at the fine print. There are no restrictions that would prevent her from selling her shares to an outsider in a non-public offering of these shares.  Bonkers Construction gets the Ukraine contract and Lion tells Bonkers to invoice Money Marketing for $250,000 and deposit the money in the company bank's account (located in an Caribbean island nation). From there Lion uses the money to buy out her shares in Your Marketing. The purchase price is $250,000. The relative indicates that he will go along with the scheme for a $25,000 payment. A salary increase of $25,000 is processed. The sale documents are signed and money is moved from Money Marketing's account to Lion's personal bank account. It is transferred in 10 payments of $25,000 over six months. Although she realizes that the bank deposits may require the bank to report the transactions, she believes the sale documents will provide sufficient documentation.  Identify for me if money laundering is going on with this case. Whаt is “emplоyee engаgement” аnd why shоuld an оrganization care about it? I don’t expect a huge amount of detail, but don’t be too brief either. You may choose to base your answer on the textbook OR our discussion from class. Note: remember, my discussion of it was slightly different -- but either version is acceptable.
