He has had no pain over the metatarsals themselves. This may be a fracture based upon his exam. He was given Motrin here. He will be discharged home to follow up with Dr. Torres from Orthopedics next week. Assessment: Acute ankle sprain. Disposition: Splint was administered, and patient was supplied with crutches at discharge. He was given a prescription for Motrin and some Buprenorphine if necessary to reduce pain to sleep. He is given instructions to follow up with Dr. Torres. Return if any worsening problems.
