This is а highly cоntаgiоus virаl disease оf dogs and other carnivores. It is seen most commonly in dogs 3-6 months old. It is transmitted through aerosolization of body secretions. The clinical signs associated with this disease are: cough ocular and nasal discharge (mucopurulent), pneumonia, anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, and hyperkeratosis of the foot pads, ataxia, circling, and seizures. There is no specific therapy, we can only treat the symptoms and support the dog.
